New computer technology enables the use of interactive screens to inform the public on science results. Interactive screens will be used at public spaces to bring STEM topics close to the public.
Science exhibitions are a very popular and efficient tool for promoting STEM topics and showing their importance in our everyday life. They will be organized throughout the project with the goal to reach the broad public.
The development of online-games with STEM content is a relatively new approach to inform internet-user about outcomes of projects. Online Games and Courses will be developed throughout the project with the goal to promote STEM topics.
Holiday camps are designed as 3-10 days seminars on STEM topics, in youth hostels, in scientific institutions, in field-camps or in other rooms. They offer extensive experience of learning science, mostly designed as Inquiry Based Science Learning. The topics are close to the everyday life of the young people.
The interactive information tools will be evaluated in different manners: questionnaires, interviews, and video. The evaluation tools will be taken from literature, but adopted to the special situation in which the information tools are used.
During the project a project course for university students on information tools for STEM related topics would be created. This course is project learning orientated. It includes a general description of project learning on tertiary level with a focus on STEM subjects.
The course material will be available online at the homepages of the participating universities, but will also available in English for wider distribution.
